Tips functionality allows you to gain more revenue from your site by providing your users means of showing their devotion and love by paying you on top of their memberships.
Here is how those can be set up:
Go to My Site - "Site Financials"
Then switch to Tips Settings tab and add tip options
Tip value - choose between predefined amount or any amount that you want your fan to donate
Tip option name - option description (make sure to make this cute and sweet)
Once everything is set, save your option by clicking Apply. You can add any amount of options you like, drag&drop it to rearrange the order of displaying them. Also you may tick a radio button near desired option to make it appear as chosen by default
Next step is to customize your tips page:
1. Go to My Site - Design
2.Go to Pages section and select Tip Me page
3. Customize text and upload your image
4. Click green Save button in the top left corner of the page
When activated, Tip Me page will be available on your site for both logged in members and site guests.
When a guest of your site (just a visitor without paid subscription) wants to tip you, he will be prompted to enter his nickname and email. Then he will be redirected to biller's payment page to enter his cc details. Guest's nickname and email will be reserved in case he will be willing to get a membership on your site and he will appear in your Free Members list with "Payment Pending" status.
When a member of your site wants to tip you, he won't need to enter his payment details - by clicking a submit button on Tip Me page - his registration payment method will be charged and he will receive a thank you message immediately.
All notifications about tips and user details along with messages from users will appear in your "Messages" section so you can reply existing members or see the email of a site guest and reply to him.
