Compliance Documentation: What Constitutes Proof of Identity And Consent?

Your guide to the documents you can supply your content with as proof of guest model's age, consent and identity

What is compliance documentation? When do I need to provide it?

Any content that features individuals alongside, or instead of the ModelCentro account owner, needs to be supplied with the following documentation in order to adhere to the compliance requirements and be published on ModelCentro:

  • Proof of identity and age for all persons depicted in the content.

  • Proof of consent from individuals to be depicted in the content and for the content to be uploaded to ModelCentro and made available to users.

Important note: This extends to both active performers, and people visible in the background of your scenes - if there are incidental individuals in the background (e.g. public space) that you do not have documentation for, they will need to be blurred out as to not be recognisable.

What constitutes Proof of Identity and Age?

This typically means a copy of the performer's government-issued identification document (such as their ID card, passport or driver's license), that contains information to verify their identity and age.

What qualifies as Proof of Consent?

Proof of consent is a document or alternative evidence showing that the individuals in the content have consented to:

  • Being depicted in the specific content item.

  • Public distribution of the content.

  • The content being uploaded to ModelCentro.

  • The content being available for download (if your website allows downloads).

What consent documentation can I provide?

Here is the list of forms that are accepted on ModelCentro:

  1. Model Release Form crafted to comply with the 18 U.S. Code 2257 Record-Keeping requirements - if you do not have your own model release form, please feel free to use our template. You can find it attached to this guide, as well as download it from your model admin at any time by using the "Get Template" option when adding a guest model to your content.

  2. Written Document and Photo:

    • A written document signed by the performer, containing all of the permissions listed in the previous section.

    • Accompanied by a photograph of the individual holding the signed consent form in one hand and their state-issued ID in the other (both documents need to be readable).

  3. Consent Video:

    • A video recording of the performer holding their ID next to their face and verbally providing their consent.
