Leverage your ModelCentro site by optimally connecting it with a domain registered externally, using name servers for a straightforward setup.

Adding Your Own Domain to ModelCentro:

If not previously done, initiate by adding your externally registered domain to the domain section on ModelCentro.

Updating Name Servers:

Alter the name servers for your domain to:

  • ns1.modelcentro.com

  • ns2.modelcentro.com

These changes are typically manageable independently, but assistance can always be sought from your registrar’s customer support.

Here’s a sample email for your registrar's support:

Subject: Assistance in Updating Name Servers without Domain Transfer

Email Text: Hello [Registrar Support Team], I intend to utilize my domain with a site on ModelCentro.com. To facilitate this, I need to point my domain’s name servers to: - NS1.MODELCENTRO.COM - NS2.MODELCENTRO.COM I wish to keep my domain registered with you and do not intend to transfer it. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely, [Your Name]

Cautionary Note:

Be mindful that altering your domain's name servers will deactivate any associated email accounts. Ensure all emails are backed up prior to implementing this change. If maintaining email functionality is pivotal, consider an alternative domain setup like utilizing a CNAME.

Post-update and Troubleshooting:

Post name server update, allow for some propagation time—up to 72 hours (though typically less). ModelCentro will notify you via email once your domain is configured. Should you encounter your old webpage or an error upon domain load, remain calm, wait a few hours, and try clearing your browser’s cache as a troubleshooting step.

Guiding you through the streamlined process of efficiently integrating your external domain with ModelCentro, ensuring a coherent and robust user experience.
